I’m in a funk. It must be the post-birthday let down from April. 37 is so much more closer to 40 than 36. I’m not sure I’m looking forward to my 40’s as much as I was my 30’s.
I need to energize and rev myself up for the roller coaster start of summer next weekend. Which blasts off with Catherine birthday and Memorial Day weekend. Seriously the summer is going to be crazy busy and the pace doesn’t let up until after Labor Day. Then just a little breather before plunging back into the holiday groove. The quietest time of my year seems to be January through March. After March it all goes wonky crazy.
But at the moment, I am a crucible of ennui.

If you’re gonna be in a funk when you turn 40, I’d better exchange you for a newer model and take HER on the big trip I’m planning!
